After leaving Anja we went on a 12h bus to Angra dos Reis. We arrived in the morning to this small little paradise, hidden in the middle of green hills to suddenly open to a blue clear water bay with small little islands.

We had breakfast (I've been eating really really well here!!) and went with a new Dutch friend that we met on the way) to the boat that would take us to paradise. 40mn through small private islands with incredible houses.

Arrived, got a cheap hostel for 35 reais (15€) and went running to the blue water beaches through a breathtaking walk by the water and in the middle of a kind of small jungle.

We stayed here for one night and on the next morning we went to see "the best beach of the island" Lopes Mendes, a long white sandy beach with turquoise water and strong waves, which makes it a surfer's paradise. This was the image I had from the brasilean beaches (well not the waves!). We went to the next beach (with less waves!) Santo Antonio and on the way we found the hugest spider I saw and small grey monkeys! A complete paradise of beach and nature...

Back to the village, boat back to Angra and 2h bus to Paraty.
