We finally booked ourselves onto a tour. It was good value and included a 2 hr boat cruise around Manhatten, two hop on and hop off bus tours (downtown and uptown) a 2 1/2 hr night bus tour, and two tickets to the NY City Museum - all for $49.
The boat cruise was cool - think I have already mentioned it.
We did the bus cruise uptown on the 13th - it was good and we saw heaps and learnt heaps about NY city - bus was double decker and closed in roof but still pretty freezing so after we finished the first one we went back home to get all rugged up, make a hot drink to take with us and get a blanket to go on the night bus tour. Night bus was cool - the guide was really neat - a multi generation NY'er. We went all around the city and then over to Brooklyn where we stopped for a while - at an ice cream place - where it also started to snow. Cool we ate ice cream while playing in the snow. Only stink thing was our camera ran out of battery and wouldn't close (it is now ruined and we need a new one )
So all in all NY was pretty cool and we learnt heaps from our bus and boat trips. The city is pretty funny though when it snows and there are cars stuck everywhere.
