Saint Cruz de Bezama to Santillana del Mar 29km

6:45 woke up
8:15 on the camino after breakfast.
there is a railway we had to cross. some people recommend to take a train for 1 stop and some told us it's safe to walk. so we decided to walk.
it was a challenge we thought but it was not a big deal.
after bridge we found the German family with donkey. we walked with the kids for a while. what a nice family they are!
took a short break at the local cafe.
we took a short cut as is was all paved road and so boring.
just before 14:00 arrived at
Santillana del Mar and there were so many people already waiting albergue to open.
it was a nice touristic village. there was a Jalpak tour bus, too.
16:00 albergue was open and again it was a chaos.
so a lot of us decided to move to camp site and so did I.
camp site was nice with bungalow and pool. I shared the room with Bill and Sonia, German woman.
the family with donkey also arrived at the camp site.
there might have been more than 20 pilgrims staying at the camp site. it became a pilgrim commune.
jumping into the pool. very nice and relaxing. dinner with stuff from supermarket. we gathered in the patio and again acoustic night.
