Pasturat to Saint-Cirq Lapopie 17km (with getting lost a few times)

7:00 woke up
had a breakfast with the other guests.
8:00 started walking. most of the guests head to Cahors. just 1 French men group(3men) and I are heading to Lapopie.
Lucky that I was walking close to them as I went wrong way a few times. first I ended up walking into somebody's house but I saw them walking so I could get back to the right path. second time, we all followed the sign but the sign we started to follow was going up north. we realised that we had to be south side of the river but we were on the north side. they asked to the local people and they advised us to go back a few Kms as the route is too beautiful to miss. so we started to walking back, then we saw a dead rail bridge. we decided to walk on the bridge and do the short cut. it was easy to walk but hard to go down to the path. an adventure of the day.
it was true that the route is beautiful. one of the nicest camino I ever walked. walk on the curved cliff along the wide river Le Lot.
the third I somehow entered wrong path again but luckily I found them again on the parallel path.
12:30 arrived at Saint-Cirq Lapopie. the town was chosen for the most beautiful town in France. it is very cute small village with a lot of tourists and shops. no grocery shop, no bakery.
the gite was closed till 16:30, so start wandering around the town. had quiche for lunch and bought a sweet bread for breakfast tomorrow.
Tourist information offers free wifi just for 15mins for one e-mail address, so I used a few addresses to check my mails and uploading photos. It's a town of Mitsumasa Anno's world. another fairy tale town.
When gite was open I was assigned with a big French guy. she asked me if it's okay with me. I said it's a gite and that's life. then she asked me to wait. she gave me a huge room with 1 king size bed, 1 single bed and 1 bulk bed room with private bathroom & terrace with a view!! it's the best room I ever stayed! well, until someone shows up...
they said there is a concert tonight outside of the gite so it maybe noisy but I don't mind it at all. since there is no grocery shop in the town, I decided to eat pizza and get a bottle of wine. there is a wine museum but they don't have a small bottle... so I got a beer instead.
had dinner on the terrace, great small dinner with a view! lucky me!
the security alarm went on while I was relaxing on the terrace. it went on for more than half an hour. I couldn't stand it anymore so I went inside and found out that the alarm was from here. I went out and there were staff of the facility. they were surprised at me as I came out so late. they couldn't believe that I was inside.. the man in charge came and it was okay to go in again. they were preparing a concert tonight.
21:00 blues concert started in the court yard. I sit on my terrace listened for a while. then off to bed. the music doesn't match with this town.
got sunburn on back of my neck. I will put a scarf from now on. it's very itchy:(
