Tuesday May 28 Cloudy & Rain 7:00 off the bed. 8:00 "à tout à l'heure" to V&D. 8:25 Gare Part Dieu. 9:05 dep. Lyon on time. 9:54 change a train at St Etienne. had hard time to find a platform as French arrows are very confusing. the heater is on in the train! it's damn cold and started to rain a bit... back to winter... the ticket conductor asked me if I "composted" the ticket in Lyon. obviously not... but he just smiled at me. :) 11:20 arrived at Le Puy. too early to check at the gite, so left backpack there and hang around the town. on the way to the virgin statue, it started to rain... took some photo from the bottom and back to the old town. found a chemin office and bought a credential! had lunch at local cafe. - chicken cutlet & fried potatoes-they are the things I get when I don't know the language... it is raining outside. went to pharmacy to weigh myself. 43.5kg means I gained 2kg since I left Japan?! check in gite took shower reorganise the backpack. I am going to keep some clothes I thought of throwing away here. my backpack must weigh 6kg now.. chill out at the lounge of gite for a while, then to the town to buy some foods. plastic bottle small white wine and chips for dinner and some fruits for lunch tomorrow. it would be nice to drink at outside tables at gite but it's toooo cold. it's 5c! so snacking in the kitchen. met a couple and they advised me to book a gite in advance so I asked receptionist to help me. booked a bed for tomorrow and I am all set. I can walk slow and take a rest here and there. :) 22:00 bed time 21.00 : gite with small breakfast 10.00 : lunch at the cafe 5.00 : snacks 5.00 : credential
