Monday June 17 sunny + clouds not so hot, rain started in the evening

Lascabanes to Lauzerte 24km

6:30 woke up
it was very hot and maybe because of the nap I took, couldn't sleep well..
had an orange for breakfast.
7:30 say bye to everybody and on the camino. the owner of the gite were so nice. their character appears on their face. very simpaticos. there is a short cut to go to GR65.
9:30 arrived at Montcuq. the centre of the town is not on the route but I decided to enter the town and explore for a while. left my bag at tourist information and walk around. had a coffee at cafe, checked e-mails.
11:00 back on the camino again.
12:15 lay down on the grass for a while nice breeze.
14:45 arrived at Lauzerte. Lauserte is another town chosed as the most beautiful town in France. there was a sign at the bottom of the town saying there will be no shop in the town should do shopping before going up.
so I did for breakfast and snacking for tomorrow.
checked in the gite where Caroline made a reservation for us. she booked a twin room and it was a luxurious room. there was a shampoo and shower gel in the private bathroom! it's the first time staying such a nice gite. people I have been meeting in the last 2 days are all here, too.
after daily routine, explore the town there I met those conocidos:) had a panache with them. it really is very charming small town. I wanted to find out about the bus info but the tourist info was closed. so I decided to wait for Caroline at gite.
it was one of the pilgrim's birthday, so we had orange juice+rum to toast.
the dinner started at 19:00 it was the best dinner so far. with songs and laughs.
21:00 Caroline finally arrived! she made it!
