After Phuket we travelled down to Phi Phi which was amazing. One of the best islands we've been to. It's a really small island - no roads just mud paths- and it is really busy. It has a great atmoshere because everyone is friendly and relaxed about everything. Most people there are backpackers. We went on a great boat trip to monkey beach where there are literally wild monkey on the beach who will come down from the trees and rocks to get food. Then we sailed down to Phi Phi Lei which is the southern island and is like paradise. we jumped off the top deck of the boat and went snorkelling to see the underwater reefs and coral. The guide throws rice at you so the fish swarm you and you can't move - it was really funny when he was doing it to Dan and horrible when dan threw me in and they both attacked me with rice! I swear a fish bit me! Afterwards we went to Maya beach where they filmed 'the beach'. It is gorgeous apart from Leonardo not being there!
We also went to Phi Phi Don's Tsunami memorial garden which was really sad. There is a wall with names and pictures of people from all over the world and most are really young. I think there is a ceremony every year because a copy of the readings from each year are on the wall.
We have just arrived in Singapore after three days in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is fab. We went up the Petronas Twin Towers which was great. You go up 41 floors in less than 41 seconds! There is a great view from up there and it is free to go up! The next day we went to an extreme park and went kayaking, quad biking, on the zip wire (you land in the swimming pool - safe), rock climbing (neither of us got off the floor!) and paintball range shooting. We will put the pictures up soon.
We are planning to go on the Singapore Flyer tomorrow and then fly to Cairns on Monday!
Anyway, hope everyone is ok and we miss you all xxx
