The problem with starting the week off so well, is that every day afterwards seems so rubbish in comparison.
Yesterday was a bit of an organisational nightmare as L, the scheduling person cocked mine up. So we had to watch a movie in class, and I had to spend my free afternoon making a new powerpoint that I was never meant to be doing. So I wasn't best pleased shall we say.
Today hasn't been much better. I did my presentation on Scotland (that was rather hastily put together) and then thought that I was done for the day, so prepared my Life Club presentation for tomorrow evening. Just as I finished as was thinking of going home, L approaches me and asks if I'm ready to do my VIP this evening. There is no VIP session on my schedule. But L just says "sorry, my fault". This person just got promoted... to being in charge of our schedules full-time. I'm not impressed. Now, I have to prepare another darn hour of work, and I'm not going to done untill 8o'clock. When I should've been finished at 5pm. I know it's not exactly a big deal, but it's SO frustrating. I'm furious with it being the second time in two days that I've had to sort something out at the last minute. Because it makes me look unprofessional in front of the students if I'm unprepared.
All I can hope is that the week gets better. I have two Oral English classes, tomorrow and Friday - those shouldn't be too bad as long as I can get the kids to have an actual discussion rather than a lecture... and Life Club tomorrow should be good. Then it's the weekend, and at least I know what I'm doing with that!!
Exactly one month till I'm home now, it's all come about rather quickly! Of course at the moment because I am highly annoyed, it can't come quick enough. But usually, it seems like a very short amount of time that is coming too fast. But it'll be nice to get back to something more organised. Although Essex Uni isn't THAT great, but at least there, I'M the student...!!
Well I best finish this prep for VIP... *growls*
