Arrived safely into Gili T island yesterday after a wobbly 160 minute ferry ride.
Nice clean hostel with lovely banana pancake for breakfast today all for £5 a night - bargain! Here for the next 2 nights
Currently low season so the island isn’t that busy which is good but nice and warm. Lots of exploring yesterday, the island is only about 3km long full of restaurants, shops and bars.
Had our first massage! Nice and hard how Nat likes it and only £6 for 45 mins.. we will be getting use to these. Nat already has a blister on her foot from day 1 of her new flip flops (send more plasters!). Don’t worry she has 2 pairs (thumbs up emoji)
It gets dark here about 6.30pm so had a nice dinner and spent 3 hours watching a live band after on bean bags - lots of good songs and even a boogie at the end to ‘red red wine’ - check out the videos. Followed by a bit of a dance in the bar next door seeing as we are on the party island we thought we should, but then Nat got spilt a drink on and we decided 1am was late enough
Annoyingly got woken up by a very loud, long lasting call to prayer about 4am.. have a feeling this could be our new routine
Off for our first scuba trip Dive today! If we like it we’re thinking about doing the 3 day course and getting our PADI open water licence.
