Brad & Poll
Merry christmas the Poms!!!
We're settling in nicely to the ozzy way of life, we're staying in south sydney in a gorgeous house with a pool and verranda overlooking a harbour. As you can see from the pictures, we're really slumming it - NOT!! The owners (Yvonne & Graham) are really good to us so we're having a fab time. They also have a boat and a farm, so we've been having lots of little adventures - its amazing. Graham took us out for the day around the harbour and we caught some massive fish!! and drank a load of VB.
We just got back from the farm today, which is about and hour and a half south of Sydeny - right near all the vineyards. We met our first kangaroo, Nibbles, and Brad took on the farm hand job for the day to feed the animals. Had a really good time meeting all the animals - as you'll see from the pictures.
We are also now the proud owners of a 1994 Ford Falcon wagon (like in the movies). Its massive and goes like a dream. We bought a double mattress to go in the back and a couple of sleeping bags so finding a room for the night on our travles shouldn't be a problem - plus, we save more money to spend on grog - everyones a winner!! We can just pull up at a campsite, light the bar-b and crack a beer.
Glad to see you spotted the shorts Markey Mark, they cos a fiver in Thailand and they're still going strong. How much did you pay again? I didn't really need anymore shorts but for that price...... ha ha ha!!! I'm due to play golf over the christmas break, shame you won't be here for me to beat Olly.
Hi Matt & Cait, we're missing our boozy sessions. We're planning a camping trip in a few weeks if you fancy it? Hows that football team of yours coming along? Sydneys lovely, a really busy city with loads of night life (and Chinese) We were out at a Cockle Bay bar last week and you could hardly move - or walk by the end of the night. We're spending new years eve in a bar on Darling Harbour so that should be a really good night. We just need to stay focussed enought to leave before midnight to we get to see the fireworks on the Harbour Bridge.
Our address at the mo is 153 The Promenade, Sans Souci, NSW, 2219 - but we'll only be here till the new year. We do have a mobile but don't have it with us so we'll post our number this week.
Have a great christmas and new year if we don't speak to you before

Brad & Poll
G'day mates (thats ozzy for Hello for all you poms - see how quick we're learning the lingo)
Before we give you our news.......Stephanie Morrison - just because you are staying away from the Tele (marbellous news by the way), dosen't mean you can go to all the other pubs on barley. You need to avoid them ALL - tounge or no tongue - is that true by the way, intrigued?
We are finally her in Oz, we're staying with our friends from Sydney (they're the ones in the photos - the bad influences!!). They're absolute stars and Bel is giving us her room until we get ourselves sorted. Its really lovely here, just like Liverpool or Manchester with shorts! Believe it or not its raining today and has been absolutely freezing (compared to Thailand and Bali). Its actually rained in every single place we've been so far so I'm thinking as we're the common factor we must be a pair of jinxes!
Singapore was fabulous, not at all like we imagined but we loved it. It was so metropolitan, full of sky scrapers with more department stores than you can imagine - believe me I've tried. Their christmas decorations were out of this world, our pictures don't do them justice (we will put them on soon I promise). The only down side was the price of beers - 8 quid for a pint and a half - I know!!! We would definatley go back though, but a few days would be enough - the shopping would have tire you out by then - yes, even you Liz.
Bali was really hot with a lovely beach, a real surfers haunt but not nearly as good as Thailand. It was very quiet (because of the bombs as far as we could tell) so the locals out number the tourist by far - which isn't so good when they're all trying to get you into their taxi/shop/resturant etc. Brad was as tolerant as you'd imagine - not, so we were glad to be on our merry way to Oz.
So thats about it for now, we're off for a bar-b (our first) so we'll have to go.
Keep in touch everyone, missing you all. Brad & Poll x
P.S Not at all amused by the room rental malarkey - there may have to be words Keens!
