Day two in Singapore. Bit of a quieter day after a hectic day yesterday. Missed breakfast as it was quite a late night! Decided to head to Singapore Zoo for the day so jumped in a taxi as it's only about 20 minutes from the hotel. The zoo was really busy with it being the weekend but it's a massive place so never felt too crowded. Was pretty tiring walking around in the heat so we jumped on the tram for the lazy tour. The highlight was the Orangutans as they bring them down from the trees for photo sessions and you can get up close and get your picture with them. Apparently you can have breakfast with them if you get there early enough! We then headed back to the hotel in time for the free wine and nibbles, would be rude not to!!
In the evening we got a taxi into Little India and went for a curry at the Banana Leaf Restaurant. We weren't brave enough to go for the Fish Head curry which is their speciality but we had a good feed and it was pretty cheap by Singapore standards. Next stop was Altitude bar on the 63rd floor at One Raffles Place. Apparently this is the highest rooftop bar in the world! The views were pretty amazing but we just stayed for one drink as the prices were sky high as well! We then went for a stroll along Boat Quay and stopped off for a drink at The Penny Black which is like a traditional english pub. We then got a taxi back to Orchard Road and a quick night cap at Crazy Horse in Orchard Towers. Orchard Towers is a small shopping centre by day but is also full of bars and clubs which come to life at night. It is known locally as the 'Four Floors of w****s' so you can imagine what the bars are like. We had a laugh trying to spot the Lady Boys! Leaving tomorrow so off to bed at a decent time.
