Right - so i've been a bit remiss with the old updates. apologies to anyone still bothering to log on to read this, the most boring weblog in the universe! It will become clear why if you can stand persevering!
Singapore is lovely! SHOPPING! YAAAAY! and it was clean. And I could have walked down the street upside down on my hands singing and i don't think anyone would have paid any attention. Bliss!
We hadn't appreciated that although the flight from Delhi was at 11pm and we arrived at 8am in Singapore that due to the time difference the flight was only a 5 hour one and we only slept for one hour!
Lloyd's hotel is very central, budget for singapore (which ain't budget) and very very close to Orchard road. AND its clean, huge, airconditioned etc etc.
I bought outrageously skimpy clothing - strapless top and short shorts, felt like a total hussy and expected to be stared at when i wore them out, nervously, even though i knew i was totally conservative by singapore standards having observed the locals. Who would have thought it, hot weather = not wearing head to toe clothing?
Anyway, Singapore is a lovely lovely place, highly recommended. Lots to see, nice walks (we opted not to go to the Little India district for some reason....) nice food and shops.... oh, so so many shops
Was a short but highly necessary stopover. But Thailand was calling.....
