Today we travelled from Budapest to Krakow in Poland. After arriving in the city that night, we took a short walking tour around Krakow and then separated to go have dinner. A couple of the girls and I went to a fancy looking restaurant and I had polish noodles with chicken and spinach, with a side of sweet and sour beetroot. Apparently beetroot soup and other beetroot dishes are considered a delicacy in Poland. After dinner we all met back up in the main square and watched as a couple of local boys performed breakdancing under the squares statue. After this we headed to a local nightclub where it was ladies night. In other words it was free drinks all night for the girls and the most popular drink was Tatanka which is cinnamon infused vodka with apple juice. It tasted like apple pie in a glass! At about 2 in the morning some of us ventured to the closest McDonalds (as you do even in Europe!) but then got kicked out because they were closing. We then caught a taxi home, which cost us the equivalent of about 4 Australian dollars. Then bed.
