Today we woke up early to travel to Berlin. On the way we stopped in Dresden which was almost completely destroyed during World War II. It was a quaint and quiet little city with quirky street music and markets on a Sunday. There we had lunch for an hour and looked around until having to get back on the bus. After that it was onwards to Berlin. Once in Berlin we went on a driving tour where we drove past the old remains of the Berlin Wall, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Jewish Memorial. There is lots of graffiti in Berlin, but most of it is very good so it has kind of become a symbol of the city. Also there is a lot of construction going on in Berlin (it actually has the largest construction site in the world right now) because a lot of it is being rebuilt and redecorated after the fall of the wall. After the tour we went back to the hostel for drinks, dinner and karaoke! Then it was back to bed!
