Today we had another completely free day in the city which started with a brief walking tour. Ashley took us walking after breakfast to the castle, but first we stopped to get a Czech delicacy that I cannot pronounce or spell but we ended up just calling it Turtleneck. It was bread wrapped around a stick, baked and then covered in cinnamon and almonds. It was delicious! We then walked up to the castle an watched the changing of the guard and admired the view over the city. After exploring the castle we then walked to the main "old town" square where we all sat on the ground in a circle and had a ham party, where we all shared traditional Prague ham. From there many of us ventured to the markets where we bought souvenirs and fruit, and then to the main shopping district. Many bags later (filled with mac makeup, opi, clothes and more souvenirs) we went to go have dinner in a Chinese restaurant and then back to the hostel for a game of cards in the bar. Feeling feverish however, I went back to my room after only half an hour for another early night. Tomorrow we're off to Berlin.
