Today we travelled from Venice to Vienna in Austria! As we passed the border the differences in landscape were amazing. Straight away the land morphed into massive rocky hills and indeed they did seem alive. For anyone who missed that, the sound of music originated from Austria and it was awesome to see the hills that inspired that famous song sung by Julie Andrews from the movie. Once we got the to hostel we walked across the street to a typical Austrian restaurant where we were served chicken schnitzel and a creamy cauliflower soup. We then took a short bus ride to Prater Park which is one of the oldest theme parks in the world! I went on one rickety rolled coaster and dogem cars with a couple of others but that was enough terror for me. I then enjoyed some fairy floss too! It was such fun to feel like a kid again and especially on the other side of the world. I did however get groped and grabbed by a group of Mexican men which was a bit scary - but all good! Good night!
