After spending almost 3 months of our trip inland, we highly anticipated our trip to the small towns of Kaş and Fethiye located on the southern coast of Turkey. These towns are famous for the Lycian Way (a 510 km long footpath around part of the coast of ancient Lycia) and the crystal clear waters. As this destination was the most 'holiday' part of our overseas adventure so far, we took to sun bathing on boats while they island hopped to the next swimming destination.
Between the relaxing sun soaking days we did a 20km hike along the Lycian Way, which reminded us of our fitter days. We originally intended to do a 10km hike and find a bus back, but couldn't find a bus so walked the rest of the way. Though we were exhausted by the end of the trip we felt a great sense of achievement (and slight stupidity).
