Sarah's Travels
The last few days in New York have been crazy with sight seeing - trying to cram everything I wanted to see and do into three days. So what did I actually manage to see?Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, United Nations, WTC site, Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Hall, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Madison Square Garden, and for all you SATC fans Carries House!!It’s amazing how quickly I fell in to the NY lifestyle. By my second morning I was ordering my whole grain bagel with cream cheese, and my tall, non-fat, Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks like a true New Yorker. I was even managing to navigate the metro system like a pro! But now after a six-hour flight I'm finally home. Its the strangest feeling now that everything is familiar and I'm not having to find my way round another new city. In a way I already miss the excitement but I don't miss sleeping in hostel bunk beds, being woken up at 5am by someone’s phone going off or having to wait in line for the bathroom! So what now that I'm home? Its time to get a job and earn some much need money. Then in about eight months if all goes to plan get myself a working holiday visa for Australia and head back out for another 12 months! Seems I have well and truly been bitten by the travel bug!I hope you have enjoyed following me on my round the world journey and now that I'm home I'll hopefully catch up with you all soon.
Love Sarah xx
