Finding good internet is hard these days. Our hostel last night didn't have a computer and the one before that charged €0.50 for 5 minutes so we've been without updates for awhile now. But we are in Cologne, Germany right now and sitting back and relaxing.
Because of Oktoberfest we had trouble finding a place to stay over the weekend and so we randomly picked a town in Austria and found a room there. It was a great little town in the alps that is perfect for skiing in the winter and moutain biking in the summer. Right now it is between seasons and not much was going on there. We did meet a couple of guys on leave from Afghanistan there and they were so much fun to hang out with. After spending the night on the town with them, they convinced us to go paragliding with them the next day. Best decision ever. It is a little odd to take a gondola to the top of a mountain knowing that you will not need to take it back down. It was so amaying to just be flying around like that over the moutains and village. We have tons of pictures and video from both Megan and I while we were in the air and from our new friends.
It was sad leaving Austria yesterday for Füssen, especially since we got in so late and walked 3km to our hostel only for them to tell us it was the wrong one. This morning we woke up and were able to visit Neuscwanstein. The bus ran so infrequently, so we shared a cab with two guys we met there. One had been there before and showed us the best place to see the castle from.
After hiking around the castle for a couple hours with our packs on it was time to leave Bavaria and head north. We arrived in Köln too late for the Dom to be open, so we'll be seeing that early in the morning and visiting the chocolate museum before leaving for Brussels.
I hope we get a chance to upload more of our pictures and videos before we come home, but if we don't get the opportunity we will put them up as soon as I wake up Saturday after getting home.
See everyone soon,
Aaron and Megan
