I Have Found My Calling in Life
I hope everyone is having a good 2007 so far. I rung in the New Year with Sara, a New Yorker, here in Melbourne. She is a friend of a friend that so kindly let me hang out with her for the New Year festivities. We went to 3 different parties in Melbourne! I've been exploring more of the city in Melbourne and today I went to the fruit markets and saw someone with a University of TN hat on. What a small world. Yesterday I explored another beach and tonight I may check out the largest casino in Oz! I've never been to a casino before, so that will be interesting. A few days ago I met up with Sara and she took me to my favorite place in Melbourne so far. It's called the Max Brennan Chocolate Bar! Yes, a chocolate bar. As many of you may know, I'm not much of a drinker but I love chocolate, so this is my kind of bar. They even have chocolate shots. Don't worry, I took photos and will post them up the next time I have my camera with me. This place was amazing! Everything chocolate. I was so excited to go to that place. Anyway, enough about chocolate. I'm leaving Melbourne on Saturday for Shepparton, a small town about 100 km north of Melbourne. (By the way, when is the US going to the metric system? The US really screws us when we go traveling and we have to order things in kg and figure out distances in km!) After that I'm going to work on another farm and then return to Melbourne to catch some tennis at the Australian Open! That should be fun. I've never really seen much professional tennis in my life. The weather is hot and it is full on summer here. Hope everyone is doing well!
