It's been a few days since the last update, but it's been 'holiday' time here in Brazil...and the team has been enjoying some 'down time' in different places, mostly where internet access has been a challenge!
Janet spent the Corpus Christi weekend in the town of São Pedro, Mike was in Campos do Jordão while Latefa, Laura and Sarah spent time with their hosts in São Paulo. I'll try and put up some photos of Campos, where the "beautiful" people from SP go in the Brazilian 'winter' to 'see and be seen'!
We're now in the last week of our GSE trip to SP and District 4430, and the time has quite literally flown by. This week's programme features vocational visits and ... parties!! These are to celebrate the end of the Rotary year and the handover to new club teams. These are not 'low key' events - there is a club celebration somewhere every night this week in District 4430, so there's no excuse for missing out on the unrivalled hospitality and fellowship on offer!
The team has experienced this hospitality and friendship at first hand and we will leave our friends in Suzano, São Paulo and D4430 with the phrase "minha casa é sua casa" ringing in our ears ... and hearts!
