The team has now returned from the D4430 conference at Águas de Lindoia and we are about to start the second week of of visit here in Sao Paulo city.
The conference was a great experience; the content was relevant, the enthusiasm was infectious, and the social parts were immaculate! For me the highlight was the presentation of Rotary's youth work - RotaKids, Interact, Rotaract and Youth Exchange. The introduction of next years club presidents was raucous and colourful. And the GSE presentation by both the D1240 and D4430 teams wasn't bad either!
It is difficult to describe the size of Sao Paulo, but 'huge' is a good starting word! I'm looking forward to 'getting to know' the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere!
We are now staying with different host families, and each team member has particular elements of the programme orientated to their vocational objectives. We'll all come together for Rotary meetings during the course of the week.
PS clever folk among you will spot the photo to the side of these words is Rio de Janeiro! Slight technical issue is my excuse!
