Chu As I swim coach I have my swimmers brehtae every stroke to the close wall (if you're in a pool). This allows them to brehtae every stroke, while also breathing to both sides. You don't want to brehtae to just one side as it will cause shoulder and neck issues in the long run. If you are planning on doing triathlons, you want to be comfortable breathing on either side so you can brehtae away from the sun or towards the buoys, so you can stay on course. The only time I don't require my swimmers to brehtae every stroke to the close wall is if we are doing a sprint or hypoxic set, and then I give them a breathing pattern.
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorLindalva Wouter, I appreciate you worknig through this with me. The type of pain I feel mainly occurs when I am pulling my leg. It's not an excrutiating pain but more of a deep soreness that gets worse with use depending on how fast I am running. I definitely don't feel like I have to pull up hopping like you see sprinters do when they blow their hamstrings. If I lay off of running for about four days, it's almost gone. I rested it five days and then did the long slow five mile run Sunday and it started aching at 3.5 miles. Last night I tried to do the 100m sprints with a 20 lb. weight vest and it hurt bad at the third interval. Today it is a little sore mainly in the high hamstring area but not bad. I might could even run for a few miles if I did it slow. Speed definitely aggrevates it worse.
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorNiam We will certainly be doing more wenbairs. Our next one has not been scheduled yet, but it looks like late December or early January. Subscribe to this blog and you'll get all the info as soon as it is available
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorErick WOD as Rx'ed. Strength pullups using a 10lb whgiet around waist off and on throughout sets. Did 5.5 rounds of WOD with 105 for pushpress and 125 for squat, using just one bar adding/taking off whgiet between sets during recovery
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorJason Thanks Wouter. I noticed the lmuabr part as well. I am just unsure, if it just seems like it, because of all the layers Ib4m wearing, or if Ib4m indeed a little rounded. I will keep it in mind thought. Do you have any suggestions about the head. It really bothers me, that I canb4t keep it in line.
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorAliz Skill Work: Pistols: I did the progressions told by Carl Paoli (CF Journal)Turkish get up: Used 8 and 16kg took me feoevrr, but got a lot smoother WOD as Rx'd100 DU: 4:30100 HrPu: 8:30100 Squats: 3:30Total of 16.30 .. PU's were holding me back.. didn't think it would be that hard to do Pu's after DU's ^^

re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorEcha Crossfit Endurance Team,I wanted to take a monemt to thank you for all you do! I strictly followed your endurance protocol and my Crossfit box’s strength and conditioning WOD while training for Ironman Arizona. I was able to complete my goal by finishing in 11 hours and 44 minutes. This was my first Ironman! I never wavered or was scared that I needed to mix in some LSD workouts. Thanks for all you do! I couldn’t of done it without your team. I look forward to continual improvement using crossfit endurance!
re: Quito,Ecuador, EcuadorVignesh Pistols on to the arm of the sofa about parallel, just did 10 TGU find them very slow and teuoids. I'll have to check form guide for DUs- I skipped very , very fast! I guess some where doubles:0 -3.30 Prsssups taking hands off at bottom- mad hard! was reduced to knees for last 3 sets to maintain form and not push hips then arms 8.00, Squats well beyond parallel touching ankles up to 75 in a oner then short rest and pumped the rest out 2.48. Had a rest between skips and press ups but straight from PUs to Squats hard that. Would like to see more scores up here as I prefer Crossfit endurance to the main Crossfit but need more scores to compare becuase that's the motivating factor!
