Tour Itinerary

Get the day off to the best start by saluting the sun and then paddling along the river in this yoga and kayaking tour of Melbourne. This tour is a good length for younger paddlers who can team up with mum or dad, or one of our guides, and there is no yoga or paddling experience necessary. Begin the day amid the beautiful gardens that stretch along the Yarra River at Boathouse Drive, where you’ll enjoy a yoga class lead by instructor Gena Kenny of Ohana Yoga and Wellness.

Stretch out with half an hour of easy, and warming, yoga postures to ensure your body is fully awake and refreshed for the paddle ahead. After a quick briefing and paddling lesson, get kitted up with all your safety gear, then jump in one of the new, and extremely stable, Sea Bear sea kayaks ready to explore the river. Head downriver, passing under the Princes Bridge, and into the heart of Melbourne. Follow your informative guides as you continue along the Yarra, passing by Flinders Station and up to the iconic Polly Woodside vessel at South Wharf.

Spy some of the city’s most famous structures and learn about the history of Melbourne’s Yarra River. After a short break, turn the kayaks around and head back upstream past Crown Casino and the lively South Bank district before finishing back at Boathouse Drive. This is the best way to start your day in Melbourne and will leave you with a new appreciation of the city.
