Tour Itinerary

Explore the islands and waterways that make up the lagoon on this three-hour Venice boat tour. Board a restored Venetian merchant boat for the journey through the lagoon, leaving busy Venice Island behind as you head to San Michele Island.

This former prison now acts as the city’s cemetery and is a great place to escape the crowds. Learn about its long history from your Venice guide as you explore this often overlooked corner of Venice, before paying a visit to the Venetian Arsenal to see where the country’s fleet of ships started life as early as 1104.

Pass by Island of Murano, famous for its glasswork, before heading to San Francesco del Deserto Island to continue the Venice walking tour. Here, enjoy a guided tour of the Monastery, listening to one of the resident monks, as they guide you through the complex and explain how St Francis founded the site in 1220.

Soak up views across to Burano Island, with its famous collection of brightly painted buildings, and snap a classic photo of these candy-coloured homes rising out of the lagoon’s murky waters. Visit Sant’Erasmo Island, which is famous for producing the city’s amazing array of fruits and vegetables, and a true Venice attraction.

Finally, arrive at Sant’Andrea Island, home to the city’s fortress built in the 16th century to defend Venice. Enjoy a picnic in this historically significant place, soaking up views across the lagoon to all the islands, before ending this Venice boat tour.
