Sharm el Sheikh Shore Excursion: Private Tour to Ras Mohammed National Park

From: £47.84

Duration: 6 hours

Category: Outdoors

When you arrive in the Sharm el Sheikh port, head out on a private shore excursion to Ras Mohammed National Park. A guide will escort you to and from the park, and you’ll have the whole morning at your leisure to explore the contrasting areas of the park. Admire the breathtaking desert landscapes, discover the park's varied flora and fauna, enjoy views of the coastal cliffs, or head to the beach to swim and snorkel in the Red Sea.

After pickup from your ship in the port of Sharm el Sheikh, head south to Ras Mohammed National Park, the first national park in Egypt, founded in 1983. After a short introduction from your guide, you'll be free to explore and enjoy the national park however you wish.

Admire the park's sharply defined platforms of fossil coral that represent ancient shorelines. Discover the various wildlife, such as birds, desert foxes and turtles, and plant life, like herbs and acacia trees. And see the great crack formations in the earth, formed by an earthquake thousands of years ago.

Then sample food in the park restaurant or  visit Ras Mohammed’s beach, one of Egypt's most popular dive and snorkeling sites. Here you can swim, sunbathe or simply enjoy the views of the sea. If you’d like to explore the Red Sea’s magical underwater world, bring your own snorkeling equipment or rent gear on site.

Worry-free Shore Excursion:
We will ensure your timely return to the Sharm el Sheikh port for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.

While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

80%

The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.

You're out there in the global community! You are likely to be exposed to the elements, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough.
