From: £119.10

Duration: 7 hours

Categories: Outdoors, Special

While you are in port in Palma de Mallorca, explore the villages of Valldemossa and Palma de Mallorca on a private shore excursion with a private guide. Marvel at the beautiful Mediterranean Sea as you drive along the northwest coast toward Valldemossa. Wander around this charming village, grab a coffee in one of the numerous cafes and enjoy views of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed mountain range. Stop at Bellver Castle for stunning views of Palma, and stretch your legs on a walking tour of Palma. Walk past the Cathedral of Santa Maria (commonly known as La Seu), the Royal Palace of the Almudaina and the old fish market, before you return to your cruise ship.

When you arrive in the Palma de Mallorca port, make the most of your time on shore with a private shore excursion to Valldemossa and Palma. Meet your local guide just outside the port and relax in a comfortable private car. Enjoy views of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea as you head north along Mallorca's west coast on the approximate 25-minute drive.

In Valldemossa, explore the village with your guide. Walk around cobblestone streets where traditional stone houses are decorated with flowers and other plants. Visit the Royal Carthusian Monastery, built in the 14th century as a royal residence and converted into a monastery of the Carthusian order in the 19th century. Grab a coffee in one of the numerous cafes (own expense) and admire views of the area. Nestled in a valley of the Tramuntana mountain range, Valldemossa offers great views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Serra de Tramuntana.

Next, start your journey back to Palma and see agricultural terraces, farms, water mills and stone constructions on the way. Stop at Bellver Castle, located on top of a hill, for a stunning photo opportunity of Palma's port and coastline.

In Palma, stretch your legs on a walking tour of the town with your guide. Walk past the Royal Palace of the Almudaina, the Cathedral of Santa Maria (commonly known as La Seu), the old fish market and local gardens. Visit the modern part of town and take the opportunity to sample local cuisine at one of the several tapas bars (own expense). Enjoy views of Palma’s seafront boulevard on your way back to your cruise ship.
