Palma de Mallorca Shore Excursion: Private Tour of Palma, Deia and Soller Valley

From: £119.10

Duration: 7 hours 30 minutes

Categories: Outdoors, Special

While you are in port in Palma de Mallorca, head out on a private shore excursion to Palma, Deia, Valldemosa and the Soller Valley. Enjoy a drive to Bellver Castle, located on top of a hill, and admire the views of Palma, the Cathedral of Santa Maria (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of the Almudaina. Walk around the charming village of Valldemossa with your guide, and drive through the beautiful towns of Deia and Llucalrari. Visit the famous Sa Foradada pierced rock, and see the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Serra de Tramuntana (the Tramuntana mountain range). Continue on a sightseeing tour along the coast of Mallorca and explore Palma de Mallorca’s old city center on a walking tour with your private guide.

When your cruise docks in the Palma de Mallorca port, discover the beauty of Mallorca on a private shore excursion. Meet your private guide just outside the port and relax on the drive along the beautiful Mediterranean coast to Bellver Castle, a 12th-century structure that today houses the City History Museum. Located on top of a hill at about 360 feet (112 meters) above sea level, the castle offers spectacular views of the Palma port, the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the 13th-century Royal Palace of the Almudaina.

Next, continue to Valldemossa, a beautiful village located in the Tramuntana mountain area. Stretch your legs as you follow your guide on a tour of the village, where houses and streets are decorated with flowers and other plants. Then enjoy free time to grab a snack in a local cafe.

Continue to see the famous Sa Foradada rock, one of the best-known pierced rocks on the island, with a 32-foot-diameter (10-meter) hole. From here, see the rocky landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana -- a UNESCO World Heritage-listed mountain range and the most extensive natural reserve on Mallorca.

Next, enjoy a sightseeing tour along the coast through Deia, a small coastal village, and Llucalcari, a tiny historical town surrounded by pine and olive trees. When you arrive in the Soller Valley, explore the open green space or simply relax in this peaceful location.

On your way back to Palma de Mallorca, visit the old city center with your guide. Walk by the Royal Palace of the Almudaina, Palma’s cathedral and the local gardens, before you return to your cruise ship.
