Tour Itinerary

This Mumbai tour is all about experiencing the city like a local, and exploring some of the city’s most impressive architectural offerings. Beginning at the Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly the Victoria Terminus), you’ll have your first taste of Mumbai’s Victorian Gothic architecture.

Get transported across the city and back in time with a taxi ride to the colonial era monument, the Gateway of India and the 14th century mosque Haji Ali, as well as Dhobi Ghat, the biggest open air laundry facility in Mumbai.

The journey continues, but this time we get more local with a ride on a local train, meeting all sorts of colourful personalities including vendors and local singers. Our destination, Matunga, will enlighten your architectural spirit with charming south Indian temples, and will enlighten your culinary spirit with a local meal.

A visit to the famed Mount Mary Church, one of Mumbai’s most prominent churches, will cap this Mumbai day tour off, but fear not – there are many ways to continue your Mumbai day well into the evening. Your local guide can provide you with tips on what to do, including strolling the promenade, exploring a quaint village, or shopping at the famous local markets. They may even be able to tell you where to bump into a Bollywood celebrity or two!
