Grenada Shore Excursion: Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour

From: £12.11

Duration: 45 minutes

Category: Outdoors

When your cruise ship arrives in Grenada, discover one of the most picturesque towns in the Caribbean, St George’s, on a hop-on hop-off trolley inspired by a 1900s steam locomotive. This fully narrated city sightseeing tour will pass by all the major cultural and historical sites in St George’s, and you will be free to take the entire tour or hop off the trolley at any of the stops. Admission is included to Fort George and the National Museum.

While you’re in port in Grenada, explore the storybook town of St George’s on this sightseeing shore excursion. St George’s is a fusion of charming European aesthetics and easygoing Caribbean spirit; you’ll be sure to fall in love with this quaint town and its sparkling blue beaches.

Board the hop-on hop-off trolley outside the Esplanade Mall; the trolley leaves every 45 minutes starting at 9am, with the last train at 3pm. As you pass by the major attractions, you’ll hear interesting commentary from your guide. Your first stop will be Fort George, established by the French in 1705. Climb up the hill to get a magnificent view of the town; you’ll see pastel-colored houses with red tiled roofs perched on green hills.

Next, hop back on the trolley, pass by the Summer House and get a panoramic view of the Carenage, an area known for its waterfront restaurants. Amble around the alleys, where you will find unique goods, such as spices, jams and other local treats.

The trolley will also stop at Grenada’s National Museum, where you can learn about the history of the country through its comprehensive collection of cultural artifacts. As the trolley winds around to Herbert Blaizes’ View Point, capture the beauty of the picturesque waterfront with your camera.

This shore excursion is a fun and convenient way to see St George’s at your own pace – hop on and off at any stop to have a closer look, and then re-board another trolley to continue your tour.

Worry-free Shore Excursion:
We will ensure your excursion ends with ample time for you to return to St George’s port for your ship's departure. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. See our terms and conditions for full details.
