The Big Day and weekend!

The first few photos in the album are of lunch on the 3rd with Christine having a luxury afternoon tea at the Cheshire Farmhouse, just off the A49 north of Weaverham.

Saturday the 4th was a beautiful sunny day so we had breakfast in the garden and Linda opened her presents before we got ready for the family party in the afternoon. The cake had a photo of Linda that was taken when she was 18. Tony had cooked a wonderful spread of my favourite foods and there was none left when the Nelsons departed!

On Sunday Jo and I had tickets to see Take That at Manchester City Ground. The seats were in an excellent position to see the concert. Take That were fantastic and we knew the words to all of the Pet Shop Boys songs who were the support act. The only downside was the time it took for the taxi to pick us up as the roads around the ground were gridlocked for a couple of hours at the end of the concert.

On Monday Karen and I (my friend since infant school) went to Titanic Spa in Huddersfield for a day of pampering, which was a good end to a fantastic birthday weekend.
