After making it over the border with ease we needed to make our way to the bus terminal where we bought tickets to sao Paulo. Seems we had walked around the park all day, Tim decided to have a kip on the floor while I kept watch with an hour and a bit til our departure. I decided to start brushing up on my Portuguese when I notice the guy who sold us the tickets waving frantically at me from inside his little glass box. Turns out Brazil is an hour ahead of Argentina and our bus was already boarding. I ran back and whacked Tim out of his slumber then ran to the bus with my backpack falling off 1 shoulder, Portuguese book still in my hand and bus tickets in the other. Phew! We made it and climbed on the bus with only our shorts and shirt and sunblock from the day. (luggage tucked away underneath) The 16 hour bus trip proceeded to crank the air con to minus 40 by the time we arrived in Sao paulo!
So we little iceblocks climbed off at terminal Tiete, which was like a huge airport it was so organized! Seems we needed to be on our way the next day we headed straight out into the city for a little walkabout and defrosting.
And then it DAWNED on me....it was Valentines day! See have to go out for dinner! Do something! But we walked past about 4 restaurants - all of them didn't seemed very fussed about the fact it s Valentines day, anyway back at our hostel, the guy there looked totally confused when we wished him happy valentines day and then said, no no we have no such celebration, in Brazil it's everyday. Haha! Oh well.
