Dad met the guy from Mermaid Restaurant in St Ives at airport. Sure is a small world. At security the staff were taken with my replica of RWC. One of them gave me a badge to add to the collection on the Pirates bag, especially so when he realised I support AB's. Badge was given to him by a French official. Quote from briefing session - "AB's will be too tired to stand, so we have some hay bales to go on bus". Kind thought, but the guys must be floating at moment! Sounds like much more than a tour bus, Maori performers, other trucks and lorries re sponsors, dancers etc.
Luckily it is holiday weekend here, Labour Day today. So everyone off work, means ideal time to show off the RWC. Dad read on Twitter that it has been laid on for 2.30 today - a tour around where we are on open top bus with team and trophy. Barricades going up now at 10am. We are lucky to be here when the team tour go by, we need to find a good space to view.
Awesome. We saw All Blacks crew setting up near coffee shop. It has free internet access so we came in. The crew followed us in and about 20 are now briefing next to us!
