Next stop, Galleries LaFayette. Girls are shopping in the most crowded shoe store I've ever seen. Women appeared to have crazed looks in their eyes. TD and I escaped to a small cafe for Pepsi with no ice and a pain au chocolat. We will meet later to go to the Gare du Nord train station and the trip back to London.

Day started good. We went to a Boulangerie where Suzanne ordered French pastries (in French!). We had a little trouble buying our Metro tickets. Had to walk down the street to another station. Whew! 8:00 pm here. Just got in our hotel Villa Modigliani in the middle of Paris. Our day started with a 5:00 am taxi to the Eurostar station. We checked in, got patted down in security, and boarded the train. Got up to almost 200 miles per hour. We saw lots of beautiful French countryside with lots and lots of farmland.
