QF 78 arrived in Perth on time at 12.35am Monday morning. But we were not done yet. There wasn't a parking bay so we had to wait for a departure before arriving at the gate. Ah ... Perth; one of the most efficient airports in the world! Finally arrived to be greeted by about 1,000 passengers in the arrivals hall; 4 flights had arrived just before us so the usual Perth customs, quarantine and immigration efficiency was on display for all to see. After leaving London about 20 minutes late we made good progress. As usual the flight was full. When are Qantas flights never full? Aaron and I each got about 6 hours sleep. As is the custom, the cabin crew kept the cabin dark until 3 hours before arrival in Singapore; by this time 2.30pm local Singapore time, then served breakfast. The aircraft was subject to ATC holding and by the time we did a large circle and landed at 6.05pm we were over half an hour late....
An easy check-in at Oslo and to the British Airways lounge. A good flight to Heathrow and quick transfer to Terminal 3 for our Qantas flight at 9.30pm. The photo is of a stranger in the Qantas lounge. Singapore late afternoon tomorrow.

It was sad to leave Greenland yesterday after a wonderful experience in a very remote area. We are both still marveling at what we have done, the climatic conditions and the sheer challenge of the harsh environment. The flight from Constable Point was un-eventful and we were soon back in at the Raddison Blue Saga Hotel in Reykjavik, had our first shower for 5 days, a nice meal at the restaurant and lots of laughs and talking about our adventure.
