We have made it to Colombia!!! Now in Cartegena until Saturday when we fly back to Bogota, and the 15th we fly to Chile. Our first stop was Cali in the South and what an experience (which i will tell you all in great detail when we leave Colombia!!!).

Cartegena is very hot and very beautiful. They are celebratingh their independence day so loads of parties and dancing - went to a msall Carnival in San Diego area of the cityy when we arrived yesterday. Feel like we are spending too much money due to $1 equals 2000 pesos and the taxi drivers habit of ripping off tourists as they see so little of them (don{t think they understand that this is bad for them in the long run). Off to a Mud volcano tomorrow - not sure myself andf then a few days on the beaches out of town. This place may have a few American tourists (old ones) but we have hardly seen any and the little streets here are wonderful. Trying to tell people here that we really don{t have any money compared to the rich old fogies is a bit difficult!.

Roll on beach time, exploring Bogota then Chile for some more Spanish lessons.
