Arrived in Chile last night and what a change - Santiago is a modern, vibrant city with all the creature comforts for once but it is expensive ($60 a night for a room compared to $20 in Colombia for smae type of place) though we are right in the centre and the room is nice (compared to some of the s***holes we have stayed in).

Off to the beach tomorrow for a few days and then back for 2 weeks of Spanish lessons starting on Monday - roll on as we need a few more tenses to make a better conversation than just single sentences!

If you haven}t been here bore, its nothing like south america in that no one hassles you to buy anything!
