<![CDATA[Hi to all my travelling companions.
This story began in April 2009 when I departed from the UK on a '92 BMW R100R. I cruised up through Poland to Russia, then made a bee-line for Siberia near Lake Baikal. The route then turned south through Mongolia via the Gobi Desert and back into Russia. From there it all down hill all the way through the STANS and returning to Europe via Iran and Turkey. The trip took about 5 months, travelling 37,000kms experiencing the great peoples of Eurasia.
Since then I have added several other trips in both Australia and the USA (riding a BMW R1150R).
My (new) wife Dorelle has joined me in the past couple of years including the US in 2010.
In June 2012, we are heading back to US (New Mexico - where our BMW's are waiting)) to ride to Alaska then across Canada to Newfoundland finishing back in Duluth, Georgia where we started in 2010.
Please feel free to share my blog as it is there hopefully to enrichen as many others who want to come along for the journey. I travelled solo in Eurasia and with my partner in the US and Australia! But there were many friends along the way. So I hope you enjoy the trips through Eurasia, Aus and the US and hopefully it will stimulate many of you to get out there and GO
