Today is the most adventurous day for us who treated this trip as a relaxing holiday. We track down the hill in the early morning to visit the Smokehouse. Heard from a lot of friends that have been to Cameron that this is one of the places to visit for sure in Cameron.
Sure enough, the place is excellent. Its a dream place to live in. The building is actually an old European Vintage Cottage with a very beautiful garden with Fountains, swings, mini cute gates and also flowers of all variety planted everywhere. I find it hard to describe the beauty of the place.
The interior is even nicer, the theme of the restaurant is country style which is what daR Dar likes very much too. I'm too impressed by the White Grand Piano in the restaurant which according to the waitress there, is allowed to be played by guests.
The food there is relatively expensive but this is justifiable as the ambience there is really good. We ordered a few fruit cakes, there speciality tea and a few scones for breakfast. After that we break into a photography frenzy with Choon Boon trying to take a lot of artistic shots.
Near Noontime, we headed back to Strawberry Park Resort as we have already signed up for a tour of Cameron Highlands for a minimal fee. Our first stop is the Boh Tea Plantation where we got to see the process of tea making using machinery and some history of Boh Tea. We ended off with buying some tea from the visitor center home.
After that we went on to a butterfly park. Its not really much of a butterfly park as it houses many other animals like snacks, toads, insects of all kinds, plants like flowers, cactus. We got to see butterflies also. Took a lot of photos too on the way through the exhibits. I think most of the farms here are quite tourist orientated as seriously, these insects do not bring in revenue to them in terms of sales.
We also went to the bee farm where we get the chance to go into the farm to take a look at the many bees flying around the place. William and Choon boon also bought some honey from the auntie there. The honey are known to have healing effect which is good for the body. Didn't buy any of those though cos' I'm on a tight budget after the Hong Kong trip.
We also went to a Cactus farm, my Favourite!! I love the plant cactus because it needs minimal care. There i bought 3 cactus in cute pots. We also went up to take photos of gigantic cactus and the girls busy themselves taking photos of beautiful flowers and choosing their wedding flowers. Haha!!
The last stop we went to is a temple on another side of the hills. I didn't really go into that one though. The sun is already going down and me and dAr Dar were hungry already. In the end the driver and tour guide send us to the nearby Brinchang town for dinner.
Ate at a chinese restaurant again, this time the place is really lousy. We waited for a long time in the cold weather for the food and the food is not really good. So Jing decided to go the nearby Secret Reciple Shop to get a few slices of cake back while the rest of the people went to stock up on food for the night games again.
