Yao Liang & Hui Sin's Footsteps

Tokyo - DisneySea, Japan

Tuesday 18 December 2007

Not wanting to repeat the mistakes of yesterday, we were up and ready to go off at about 9.30am. Took the train from Tawaramachi via Ginza Line to Ueno and change to Hibiya Line to go to Hatchobori which costs 160 yen (S$2). Went out to explore a bit of Hatchobori and we chanced upon another kind of minimart and decided to stocked up on our lunch. We bought some fried things and a Bento set. dAr DaR also happily bought her favourite red tea which she fell in love when she came last year.

After that we switched to JR-Keiyo line to alight at Maihama Station, which is the station dedicated to Disneyland. It costs 230 yen (S$3) and by the time we reached it's 10.50am already. No time to play !! Never mind, we sat down to eat what we bought earlier first. It tasted Oishii (yes again, everything in Japan is Oishii) and lifted our spirits for DisneySea !!

Decided on going to DisneySea instead of Disneyland because it's more suited for couples. (If you got S$150 and spending 1 month in Japan why not try both ?) More romantic in the place. We walked all the way to DisneySea and mainly due to that, that dAr said we walked in through the back door. Don't really like the idea of me going to a grand place but going in through the back gate.

Bought the tickets with the help of dAr (again!) but we were not allowed to go in cos' we have the Bento set with us. (They are really so into making money that we can't bring in our own food.) After trying to finish the Bento which taste kind of weird when cold as we couldn't get to heat up. we were inside and flashing away with the camera that we have at the entrance full of beautiful buildings and designs.

After that we set off for the Lost River Delta, passing by American Waterfront and Post Discovery along the way. dAr DaR recommended me the Indiana Jones Ride which is located there. Along the way we saw a shop kiosk which sells a lot of Kawaii things like mickey hat which my cutest dAr DaR went so enthu-ly to try out. Hahaha, she really turn out to be very cute in everything there but too bad the price of the hats turn out not to be too cute. In the end we settled on me a Rudolph Hat and dAr DaR on a cute mickey ears which is cute too~ People here are more cute than the people in Hong Kong. They are more daring in putting on these cute hats so we don't feel that awkward doing so too.

Wow !! The Indiana Jones Ride is super cool !! Worth every bit of the long wait. They bring you to adventure with Indiana Jones inside the building riding the roller coaster. A must visit ride !! Something that I would like to highlight here is that they have the fastpass system where anyone who do not wish to queue up can purchase a fastpass at the kiosk so that the visitors don't have to wait.

After that we strolled to the Arabian Coast which I think has the nicest architecture. The place is as nice as when we saw from across the river and when we are walking inside it. Every part of the place is a photo shoot spot. And yup, the "naturally like to take photo" couple started shooting away at the place. But wait... wow!! There is Carousel in the middle of the Arabian Castle. This is the first time I got the chance to ride Carousel and with the person I loved. This is really a great feeling. The Carousel here is so big that it has a double floors and the second floor that we went to has a much better view of everything. We also went for the 4D show about the genie which is so cute. I just loved the 3D effect of the show when I put on the spectacles. Too bad I don't know what they are talking about. But I think that dAr DaR enjoys the show a lot.

After that we traced back to the Port Discovery where we went for a flight simulator into the eye of the storm. Another very very cool ride which I liked very very much. Especially the 4D effect of wind and raindrops falling on us. Ding Dong, another ride which I recommend a lot. Other relaxing rides include the bumpy water boat ride which is kind of romantic with darling too.

After that we walked to the American Harbour where we took a relaxing stroll and visited the Titanic which is actually a cluster of restaurants but we get to visit the top of the deck where we did something like the Jack and Rose, just that I think ours is more artistic.

Too bad that the skies turn dark at about 4pm, our 5pm to 6pm were spent on walking around the shops doing shopping and browsing all the kawaii things. We were at the Mediterranean Harbour's lake at around 6pm for the BraviSEAmo! show. The weather is so cold that we needed something to keep us warm. So I tried something which I never tried before. Ordering in Japanese !! I just said " O-cha ichi ne" and "Hot cocoa ichi ne" and wow they understood. dAr DaR must be so proud of me. Too bad I didn't get to use "Nihongo ga Hanasemasen"

The show started at 6.20pm and its actually a love story between the water maiden and the fire dragon. (Seriously, I think they don't match.) But it's nice with all the fire balls and water display. Personally I quite welcome the fire dragon more as we're freezing right now. The fire balls really make the impact.

After the show we were off after the show so that we do not get caught in the rush and secondly because we're planning to go to Asakusa next.
