Yao Liang & Hui Sin's Footsteps

Tokyo - Changi/Suvarnabhumi, Japan

Saturday 15 December 2007

We were on the MRT going to Changi Airport Station. dAr Dar insisted on taking the MRT as she can strat her stuff...erm... I mean her Little Red Riding Hood (do look at the photo albums and you will know ) and thats she's going on a holiday. Let's go all the way to the Airport!!

By the time we checked in, its already 3.30pm, very late already but the flight is not due to take off until around 5 plus. So we wandered around the Terminal 2 shopping arcade and we did the most amazing thing ever done in Singapore. To buy a cup of watermelon juice that costs half a ten dollar note and the cup is literally half the note's length only. So expensive!!

Took some more photos of Changi Airport. I'm always amazed when I went to Changi Airport. The things there are so beautifully decorated and every corner is designed in detail. No wonder they always won the best airport every year. I'm proud of Singapore ! Everyone should just fly to Singapore to have a look at the airport only. Haha kidding only, can come out.

At 5.00pm we boarded TG 412 heading to Suvarnabhumi Airport at Thailand. The plane is so nice, the seats are coloured, the wall is wallpapered, the stewardess are pretty (but according to dAr and me, always got 2 pretty only, her pretty and my pretty) So excited to get a window seat even though I think its dAr's in the first place. Don't care, wahaha, just wanted to try to see the view outside and my best moment on the plane came when the plane took off. Its amazing how a whole chunk of metal can take off from the sky.

I enjoyed the meal on the plane too and they offered free red and white wine on board too. dAr enjoyed the main dish too but in the end I helped her whip up the rest of her leftovers. No wonder they say that boyfriends are trash cans. I simply ate everything we have.

By the time we reached Thailand, its already 7.30pm and our flight to Narita Airport is not due to take off until 10.45pm Thailand time. So we went a bit of a airport hunting. These are the few things we found out.

1) The airport has no colours other than grey and more grey. (unlike Changi Airport)

2) The staff members there like to talk to themselves.

3) Where's the escalator to the 2nd floor ?

4) Is there someone talking in the grey box (yes, grey again) at the end of the long travellator, what's she talking about?

5) Wow, we can pay using debit cards !

Really, everyone should try to go to the airport for a look. Its definitely an eye- opener for me. No matter what, this is still the airport that caught the world's eyes for its H- shaped airport and bad press due to it too. After that we were up and away heading to Narita Airport on board TG 640. Sleeping all the way, or rather twisting and turning without sleeping all the way there.
