Yao Liang & Hui Sin's Footsteps

MongKok, Hong Kong

Tuesday 11 July 2006

This cover photo is us after we reached our Hotel Stanford Hotel. Super tired cos' everyone is lugging their luggage and walking throughout the streets of the people filled Mongkok. The hotel is generally very good and cheap. $124 per night for a twin room and the most important thing is that it is very near to Mongkok MTR Station and major street shopping areas. A hotel that I would recommend to people going to Hong Kong.

After settling down in our rooms , its already 11.00pm but since the night is still quite young, we decided to venture out to explore MongKok. Hong Kong is really like what a lot of people say, I saw the neon lights signs hanging from everywhere for the first time. (I've seen them in photos only before that) Another interesting point to take note is that the business hours in Hong Kong is quite long. Totally different from Singapore where shops start to close at 9pm. From my photos you can see the crowd even at 11pm.

In the end we decided to grab something from XU LIU SAN which Simon recommended has the best dessert in Hong Kong. Yummy!! Looking at all the desserts from the menu. Off for the desserts!!
