Plain sailing so far!
We set off for the train down to London to get to our Premier Inn for a few hours rest. Luckily no hitches, only a "Michelin star" comment from the conductor about my cheese-and-onion crisps-bagel (this should be tasted before being mocked!)

I'm sure we will be using much worse modes of transport throughout our trip, but being propelled through the ground in a hollow metal bullet is not pleasant, luckily the tube was only about an hour and we had a lovely bed to sleep in at the end of it!

After an early rise, we managed to catch a bus to the airport and save the £14 taxi fare, and we were approached upon arrival by a lovely Virgin Atlantic lady who offered us extra leg room for a small fee - with Craig being about 7'10" when seated this was a good idea!

Upgrade applied, security passed with no frisking or strip searches and we are currently sitting in the departure lounge rewarding ourselves with full English breakfasts.
