Sunday Dave brought us out to the Blue Mountains, a must see on any sight seeing list. Its about an hour or so out of Sydney and is basically a rather large picturesque valley. There is a gondola as well as a 52 degree cable ride down to the bottom. There are also beautiful waterfalls as well as the 3 sister rock formation.
On our return we picked up Dave's buddy Nate along with a hefty amount of steaks. The rest of the night was spent with friends, beer, and of course the barbee.
Monday, Nat and I took the train into Sydney only for her to realize that she had overdone it yesterday and needed more rest. So after abandoning me, she took the ferry back home and I set out for a most excellent adventure. I spent 6.5 hours exploring the city, including a free 3 hour guided tour. After all the exploring and touring Sydney may just be my favorite city of all time. It really has something for everyone. In addition you just cannot beet the views, it's really a clean, pretty city, with excellent food and diverse culture. I am now also an expert in train travel within Sydney as I took a long unexpected tour due to not paying close enough attention to the platform info.
I finally got home by 7pm, over an hour late! Nat was so worried she called the morgue, ok, maybe not, but she looked around the neighborhood and posted pictures of me.
She was feeling better by this time!
Sanda's awesome spaghetti and meat sauce was a perfect way to end a long day.
