View of the shoreline in Miraflores, strangely reminded us of LA. You can paraglide on the beach without a guide, how crazy is that?! JN really enjoyed watching dozens of surfers catching perfect waves.
Today I visited the famous convent in Arequipa. It was a very interesting place because it remained a mystery for nearly 400 years and only opened to the public in 1970's when the convent was in too much debt, and made a deal with a private company to operate as a museum. Today i made my own chocolates, which is so exciting because i love chocolate! I signed up for a two-hour chocolate making workshop at Choco Museo in Cuzco. They make organic chocolate from bean to bar, and explain and demonstrate the whole process. We got to make everything from scratch - it was amazing. Today we visited sacred valley by bikes. We rented mountain bikes and had a tour guide. It was quite challenging for me because it was only the second time I used a mountain bike, and it was hilly and muddy. I was pretty slow compared with the rest of the family. Beatrice and Max go mountain biking every weekend. I finally learned how to go up without too much effort. I did manage to fall once, because it got too slippery. JN also fell shortly after.
