My favorite part(s) of the trip (so far): breaking the routine, living on the road, getting to see and experience those places that I have been wanted to explore for 3, 5 or 10 years. The dirty hostels, heavy backpacks and other shenanigans are all worth the incredible experience. Every day is novel and exciting! JN and his new best friend... In South America, dogs follow you everywhere. We picked up some meat to make burgers for dinner, and this dog followed us all the way home. Notice that JN is carrying boxes, since the supermarkets here don't give you plastic bags. What really surprised me about this place is how much Hebrew I'm seeing everywhere, including our bus to El Chalten. We saw Israeli people at Perito Moreno Glacier and our hostel. We also met an interesting Russian couple from Moscow region, who are traveling for a few weeks visiting National parks in Patagonia. The husband is an alpinist, and showed us his climbing videos, which were very impressive and funny. His friends are climbing Fitz Roy peaks right now. T...
