			<![CDATA[Hi Everyone,
Hopefully by now we will be somewhere beautiful with an exotic name eating a good curry. We thought rather than bombard you with those annoying group emails going on and on about how it is better where we are than where you are we would give you the option.
If you want to hear about how much better it is here then keep popping by this site and we will try and update it as much as poss. If on the other hand you really don't want your face rubbed in it then stay away and enjoy your next five months safe in the knowledge that you will here all about it when we get back anyway.
So assuming you are still here we should probably fill you in on our plans (apologies to those of you who have been hearing this for months). We are setting off on the 23rd Feb- first stop India. More specifically we have about a month in the North including Delhi, Agra (home of the Taj Mahal), Uttaranchaal and Rajasthan. From there we are heading to Nepal for about six weeks where, amongst other things, we will be do a three week trek around the Annapurna Circuit. Its then a quick trip over the border to Tibet, well by quick we mean the week long rollercoaster of a road ironically named the Friendship Highway. We are then heading, along the highest railway in the world, to Hong Kong for some much needed civilisation and a spot of visa acquiring. This takes us to about the end of May and the start of a month in China heading North in the general direction of Beijing. And of course as neither of us are known for doing things the easy way, rather than a short flight home we will be hopping on the train for a two week journey along the Trans Siberian Railway via Mongolia, Siberia and Moscow and all the way back to the welcoming arms of St Pancras.
So that is the general plan, which of course is completely at the whim of Delhi Belly, Altitude Sickness, Maoist Rebels, Tibetan Visas and the worlds worst roads and could change dramatically over the next few months but que sera sera.
Hope you enjoy the site
See you all soon(ish)
Laura and Gareth
