Lewis' Chronicles

Siem Reap, Cambodia

We decided we deserved a sleep-in and a down day to relax. We've been travelling pretty hard lately and, after the marathon temple visit of the day before, the Lewises wanted to kick back a little. The kids slept until 10:00 am. Late rising meant late breakfast, followed by an afternoon stroll around the neighbourhood, which left us all relaxed and enjoying Cambodian living.

We stopped off at a neat little place where a sculptor had made miniature replicas of Angkor Wat, which was great because now we could understand the immensity of the site without renting a hot air balloon. When sunset came, we hired a tuk tuk and drove to the Night Market Area where we ate at a brilliant restaurant called Khymer Kitchen. At the hotel, we had a game of darts and watched some of the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie. Tomorrow, Laos.
