So I probably should be packing and getting to bed- but here I am getting my blog post in!
I need to be up in a few hours to catch the flight to Italy so I'll keep this short!
I had my first exam this week! Cross Cultural Management is now over! Since some classes are shorter than others- so are the exams. I studied hard and I think I did well despite having little clear instruction about the specifics of its content.
There was plenty of school work to go around this week- and I'll leave it at that! :)
My dream came true this week as I toured the United Nations office here in Vienna which deals with Crime and Drug issues. I found the tour extremely interesting and I wish I had had more time to ask the guide questions because it really does seem like a facinating place to work. We sat in the gallery as some documents about Canada were discussed in a working group- I wish I had had my glasses on so I could have better read the projector or at least stayed to get an idea about the details behind it.
These kinds of opportunities are wonderful to give you some perspective at where Canada leads and where it falls short on the global stage. We've got a lot to be proud of as Canadians :)
I suppose this is as good a time as any to report that after two months of being here, it has actually hit me that I'm here. I'm feeling very blessed to be having the experience that I am. I think the worst of the culture shock is over (thankfully). La vie est belle.
Still didn't make it to the Albertina, but that art gallery isn't going anywhere!
...Now, to see if I can fit seven days of clothes into an overnight bag!!
