Reading your updates and viewing your pictures just amaze me. I wish I was over experiencing everything right beside you. And I can't believe you saw hippos that close! I heard they are vicious... and swimming in the same water as them... you're nuts! Love you lots and lots! xoxox
PS where are the bungee photos?

Your writing is incredible! I can almost feel the wind blowing on my face as you bump up and down on your journey. I can picture you happy and beautiful as always. Looking forward to December! Love from all of us. xoxoxoxxx

All of us here at Dave's office are very excited for Dave and his trip to see you, Jen. We hope you guys have a wonderful visit together and that you can keep your dad out of trouble. We have received inquiries though about why hockey viewership (any hockey!) has been way down since he left the country. Don't tell him that the Habs are done but you can let him know that the Canucks are doing fine (along with the associated "happy" rioting in Vancouver) and that the Kelowna Rockets are still in it. We miss you, Dave! Have fun the both of you. cheers from Kelowna, Terri & the gang at the office

We are excited for you and your Dad to have an opportunity to do some travelling together soon. Travelling is an education in itself, which I am sure you have already concluded. Make sure that your Dad returns with some war stories to share with us back home. :)

Sparky? Where have you gone?? Hope everything is okay down there. I just read your last blog (my computer for some reason has been blocking the website so I couldn't get to it)....and let me tell you, I know exactly how you feel. I went through the exact same thing in South America. Experiencing all these new people and places is exhausting, and often you don't realize it until it is overwhelmingly obvious. Anywho, I hope you are taking care of yourself...thinking of you lots. Love you! xoxoxo

Hi Jenny,
I'm so glad I read March 5th before March 4th ! Glad to hear things are better, but then that's the kind of person you are! And perhaps the odd time out in your own little space is just what's needed. Your stories are so compelling, I agree with your mom.....you should write a book.

Having lived and worked in isolation while we were in the arctic, your mother and I have experienced that which you are feeling now and can empathize with you.
I am enheartened by your recognition and realization of "the place you are in" but moreso by your response to your feelings. You have obviously been fairly prepared by the folks at WorldTeach, but it is your maturity and indefatiguable attitude that is telling you to "get out of the bedroom" and get on with things, keeping in mind that small, achievable goals also have an impact and can re-energize yourself at the same time. (You'd have to pay $250 to hear Tom Robbins say that over here.)
Things eventually get to everybody... heck, even your own kids aren't so cute after awhile... or so I've heard it said.
Just rtry to remember that for the most part... oshili nawa!!!
Luv ya!!!
